Mortar generally represents about 15% of the total visible area of
brickwork and can dramatically change the look of your home.
For example, mortar coloured to
match the brick will give the impression of a large area of one colour, whereas
contrasting mortar colour will highlight the shape of individual bricks.
The table below will give you an indication of what you need
to mix to arrive at a desired colour. For example : Mix Yellow Sand + Red
Oxide + Natural Cement to get a Red Mortar mix. Of course quantities will
vary depending on the shade you require.
